Is your child a gamer or a gamer of the future? Are you interested in learning more about the world of online games? Do you want to help make sure that online games are a safe place for all young people?
If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, we want to hear from you.
We are The Diana Award, a charity that serves as the living legacy to Princess Diana. We are built on her belief that young people can change the world.
A key part of our work is organising one of the biggest anti-bullying campaigns in the UK and Ireland.
From working with young people we know that when a young person experiences bullying, it can have a seriously negative effect. We also know that to successfully prevent and take action on bullying we need to provide holistic support. This means addressing the concerns of parents and teachers as well as the young people involved.
That’s why we need you.
In order to give the best possible support we need to hear your voice as parents and guardians. We need you to tell us what your honest concerns about gaming online are and how we can provide the best support.
As part of a brand new project we’re focusing on bullying within online gaming. We’ve just started working with Supercell, the developer behind some of the most popular mobile games. You might have heard of, or played some of their games; Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Boom Beach, and Hay Day.
We’re putting together a virtual parent’s board that can help shape the support we offer. The board will run until January 2018. It will involve a time commitment of 1-2 hours per month. Typical activities will include filling in online surveys and reviewing digital resources designed for parents.
As it’s a virtual board all the activities will be completed online and we’ll do whatever it takes to fit this opportunity around your life.
You don’t have to play games yourself, the only conditions are that you are a parent who cares and wants to make a difference.
If you’re interested in being part of the board, then please just use the form below to register and we’ll be in touch. Alternatively if you have any questions or want to find out more then please email firstname.lastname@example.org
